Plas’ street art throughout Spain.

This has got to be some of the most original street art I have ever seen! Plas, a conceptual street artist from Spain. He, like Mark Jenkins creates sculptures of Scotch tape and integrates them into the urban space. It’s good to see that people are getting more and more creative with their art and being original. We encourage that here at Spree Killers, so get out there, be creative, be original. People need to realize it’s art, not vandalism… So get out there, send us your work to thespreekillers@yahoo.com and we might just post it up on our site! See a small collection of Plas’ work below. Shepard Fairey’s street level murals.

The Noble Visions is currently working on a project titled, ‘Cincinnati in HDR’. Part of this project is the photographing of the entire ‘street level’ mural collection Shepard Fairey installed throughout Cincinnati during his 5 month ‘Supply and Demand: 20 Year Retrospective’ exhibit at the Contemporary Arts Center of Cincinnati. In our three previous articles featuring the HDR photographs of Shepard Fairey murals in Cincinnati, we were able to look at nine of the murals. (Article 1/Article 2/Article 3). As the end of the summer wraps up, The Noble Visions found time to get out and photograph the remaining murals that Fairey installed on his second visit to Cincinnati. Below you will find every street level Shepard Fairey mural that was installed in the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky region. A few roof level Obey icons are scattered throughout the region as well.”

Banksy, in his own words.

The Sun, a UK newspaper, recently posted a story about Banksy in their paper. Although, it’s not clear if it was an exclusive interview or a special from Exit Through The Gift Shop, it is certainly interesting!

“I started painting graffiti when I was about 14 or so, and people always ask, yer know, what makes you do it? But the question was always really, why would you not do it?” These are the words of one of the world’s most famous artists, and most elusive characters. Bristol-born Banksy is hugely popular worldwide, his guerilla-style graffiti his calling card. Yet for 18 years he has succeeded where The Stig failed and kept his identity totally secret.
